Etsy Find Monday: Sparks of Fire

Thanks for your patience with me while I took last week off from the world. I thought would feel better after so much time spent with friends/family eating and drinking, but now that it's time to come back to the real world I see there is still work to do. I think that getting back into the swing of things with this blog and my business will help.

Etsy Find Monday: Never Say Never Again

I totally forgot this morning's post until the last minute... That's what kind of weekend I had. There were new friends, and flaky friends, and old friends. Plus a whole lot of dancing, wine, and laughter, and even some art thrown in. It was exactly what I needed. Today I have to come back to the real world, which involves standing on my feet for 7 hours, shipping lots of orders from the weekend, and dealing with my grandpa's quick decline and impending death. That's not even covering the sink full of yarn that I've been meaning to dye for the last week. All the stuff that's not so fun, but I hope the spark I had this weekend will keep me going.

Whenever life gets hard all I want to do is escape; run away with my little red train case and my best friend to some Mexican mountain village or a place that demands fun- like New Orleans. I chose today's Etsy Find with that in mind:

Etsy Find Monday: The Light Garden

Did you notice? I renamed the Etsy Find Daily posts Etsy Find Monday. I figured if I'm not going to do them every day there is no sense in calling them Daily anymore. Monday seems like the perfect day to wake you up with a little handmade love!

I was going to share another hand crocheted blanket from this shop, but I happened to find this one instead and thought it was perfect for the 4th of July! Someday I hope I'm a talented enough crocheter to make something awesome like this, but in the meantime I'll just oggle this one. Beautiful colors right?!

We saw the most amazing fireworks display last night from a ski resort hillside here in PC. They were almost right above us, and were definitely the nicest ones I've seen. Maybe I'm a sap, but I love cuddling up on a blanket with my honey, drinking beer and eating a picnic while we watch the fireworks. What an awesome night (I took photos too, and will share those soon). And there is more to come. Tonight we'll be watching the fireworks over SLC from my aunt's house on the hillside. Complete with themed music, sparklers, and margaritas! I'm bringing the dessert of course. I'm thinking themed chocolate cupcakes... Have a happy 4th!
